Call for Papers: Green Innovation: Disruptive Technologies for Carbon Neutrality and Sustainable Supply Chains

In recent decades, recurrent natural disasters linked to climate change have significantly disrupted global supply chains, revealing a circular relationship between production operations, climate change, and the broader supply chain landscape. This interconnectedness has had profound implications for regional and international economic activities and social well-being. The growing environmental consciousness among individuals and societies has heightened the demand for businesses, from multinational corporations to small and medium enterprises, to demonstrate a strong commitment to sustainability. The urgent
need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and achieve carbon neutrality has become a shared responsibility for humanity, emphasized by the United Nations SDG #13: “Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.” In the pursuit of carbon neutrality, the call for concrete actions is paramount, and
green innovation stands out as a crucial approach closely aligned with the carbon neutrality goal. As societies and global supply chains strive to meet net-zero targets, those leading in green innovation and mastering key innovative technologies will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap.

Recognising the pivotal role of Green Innovation in achieving carbon neutrality, this special issue seeks to foster rigorous research and critical insights. We invite empirical studies that enhance our understanding of how Carbon Neutrality influences comprehensive innovation in creating sustainable business environments. The goal is to deepen our understanding of managing Green Innovation effectively to address climate change issues and achieve Carbon Neutrality. Simultaneously, the intersection of Innovation, Carbon Neutrality, and Disruptive Technologies is poised to bring about a paradigm shift in how organisations, industries, and societies approach green practices. This special issue aspires to capture ground-breaking research that yields new insights in this critical domain, shaping the future of green operations and economic re-engineering.
