Purpose and Audience. The IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society (TEMS) “advances, enhances, and improves essential management and leadership knowledge and skills of IEEE members” (TEMS mission). The Society’s Field of Interest “encompasses the management sciences and practices required for defining, implementing, and managing engineering and technology”. The TEMS Leadership BRIEFS therefore connect the latest in knowledge on leadership and technology management with applicable insights and implementable tips for leadership practice. Each BRIEF is concise, focused on a single topic, and written in a clear and comprehensible style.
The TEMS Leadership BRIEFS are a free membership benefit for all TEMS members. Our readers include engineering and technology practitioners, managers and executives, and support teams. The Leadership BRIEFS are published quarterly and are distributed to the 4,000+ TEMS members, with opportunities to also reach the entire IEEE membership of c. 450,000 people.
