Chaired by Professor Philip Chen, IEEE TEMS Technical Committee on Smart Medical Digitalization aims to study the interdisciplinary solutions in clinical medicine spanning different disciplines and industries, for the development of medical digitalization and smart healthcare in the society. The core significance of medical digitization is to turn the perceptual, unstructured and fragmented knowledge and practice guide in traditional medicine into a new big data system with the capability of self-management, which can be quantified in the whole process and provide a general interface for various intelligent data processing tools. The technical committee will focus on the following topics.
1. The need and feasibility for building interdisciplinary solutions integrating traditional medicine research and information technology research
2. The issues related to security, privacy, and safety in smart medical and healthcare digitalization
3. The issues related to the development of the advanced technology platforms and digitalized medical centers
