Webinar on “HAM (AMATEUR) RADIO IN PRESENT TECHNOLOGIES”

The Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, BMS College of Engineering, in association with BMSCE-IEEE student branch organized a webinar on “HAM (AMATEUR) RADIO IN PRESENT TECHNOLOGIES” by Shankar Sathyapal, Director, Indian Institute of HAMS on Thursday, July 23rd, 2020.

It is noteworthy that Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri. B.S. Yediyurappa, despite his busy schedule held discussions with select members of Corona Sainika Task Force and Corona Warriors at CM’s office and thanked the Task Force members headed by Dr. P.R.S. Chetan, Commander and Corona warriors for their selfless service in this tough times. Other vertical heads of Corona Warriors team joined the meeting from DC office through video conferencing.

Hon’ble Chief Minister appreciated the services rendered by Civil Defense, Corona Warriors, HAM team headed by Dr. Shankar Sathyapal, VU2FI & all others for their excellent support in mitigating the sufferings caused by COVID.

Mr. Gautam, VU3NOU & Mr Girish Mathenevar, Leading head, Corona warrior were present. Ham fraternity should be proud of such recognition from Government of Karnataka, working towards strengthening HAF further to extend possible help to needy and save lives. More than 100 students participated, interacted well on the subject, and expressed the interest to join Ham Action Force for COVID-19 relief operations.
