About the Speaker – Professor Weng Marc Lim, PhD, Adjunct Professor, Swinburne Business School, Swinburne University of Technology, AUSTRALIA

The coronavirus pandemic 2019 (COVID-19) has led to an unprecedented humanitarian crisis that has
impacted most, if not all, businesses around the world. The enduring effects of the pandemic that we are
currently witnessing suggest that businesses today can no longer adopt a wait-and-see approach, but
instead, they must proactively evolve in order to survive and succeed in the new normal. Given that time
and tide wait for no one, this webinar endeavors to deliver a collection of practical tips that executives can
apply immediately to navigate their business operations in times of humanitarian crisis. It is hoped that
the strategies presented herein this webinar will have an immediate impact for the business community in
terms of remedying the challenges that they are facing and propelling them to emerge as winners from the
COVID-19 global humanitarian crisis.

About the Speaker:
Professor Weng Marc Lim is an Adjunct Professor of Swinburne Business School at Swinburne
University of Technology’s home campus in Melbourne, Australia and a Full Professor and the Head of
School of Business at Swinburne University of Technology’s international branch campus in Sarawak,
Malaysia. Both campuses offer AACSB-accredited business degrees.
Professor Lim is also the Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Quality and Innovation, an
international peer-reviewed journal that is published since 2009 by Inderscience Publishers in Geneva,
Switzerland. He has published close to 50 manuscripts in journals ranked “A-star” or “A” by the
Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) and the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) journal
ranking lists. He has also presented his work and led high-level policy discussions at the United Nations
Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the World Economic Forum (WEF).
Recently, Professor Lim was appointed as the Secretary of IEEE TEMS Malaysia Chapter, certified as the
New Record Holder for “Youngest Professor” in the Malaysia Book of Records (MBR), and named as an
Honoree of the Ten Outstanding Young Malaysians by Junior Chamber International (JCI) for his
academic leadership and accomplishments.
