This year we elected 5 members to the Board of Governors from the membership vote. In addition, we placed 4 officer positions and made some appointments due to resignations.

For our newly elected officers we have
Ravikiran Annaswamy was elected as President-Elect
Sudeendra Koushik was elected as Vice President of Conferences
Gus Gaynor was elected as Vice President of Publications for his second term
Karl Arunski was elected as Vice President of Education
The Vice President of Education is a new officer position starting this year. These positions have a 2 year term of 2022-2023.
We have a special situation regarding President-Elect. Our original President-Elect (2020-2021) had some personal challenged and had to step down from the position. Fortunately, our newly elected President-Elect was willing to step into the position making Ravikiran our new President starting in 2022. We all need to support Ravi in stepping up to this needed role.
The TEMS Nominations Committee will address the President-Elect (2022-2023) vacancy as soon as possible.
For the Board of Governors, we have the following members for 2022-2023:
Chunguang (April) Bai
Sabine Baumann
Gustavo Giannattasio
Tariq Samad
Mark Wehde
Since Ravikiran was serving at Vice President of Membership, Marking and Communications then Mohamed Aboud was appointed to this position for the remainder of his term (2022). In addition, Member at Large Vacancy that happened in November and this will be filled by Professor Jin Chen of Tsinghua University who was appointed and approved by the board of Governors during the November election meeting. This term will also be for the year 2022.
I wish to thank all the candidates. Please engage in TEMS we will have continued opportunities for positions and activities in the Society.
