Building winning teams – Lessons from sport : Akhil Ranade

Akhil’s expertise spans across the spectrum of sports marketing, brand management, sponsorships & digital content creation.
He started his career with sports marketing divisions of leading communication agencies like O&M and DDB Mudra and moved onto consulting with IMG’s sports consulting division. His last corporate stint was with Puma India, as the head of their cricket business.
Since March 2014, he runs his own company Achilles Sports where he pursues his true calling of working on projects which he enjoys and is working in various domains in the sports industry. He has been the founding member of the “Bengaluru Bulls Pro Kabaddi” franchise and is also a partner in a cricket content company where he has produced properties like What The Duck, Viru Ke Funde, Bowled Over and WTD Googlies. He also consults Indian cricketer Ajinkya Rahane and is helping develop young startups in the sports tech/events space.
